Do you remember The Lennon Sisters...Lawrence Welk? “and a one and a two...”

Molly sings alto with her sisters, The Champion Sisters. She has just finished chemotherapy for her second breast cancer in these photos.

Molly said she was a bit shy about taking this photo at first. When she showed it to me, my heart melted. I LOVE THIS PICTURE. This is a normal (but beautiful and talented!) young woman who has courageously decided not to let her cancer hold her back. Although she works full time during the day, she began to sing regularly with her sisters after her first cancer. The Champion Sisters were very busy when her second cancer was diagnosed, so they had to pace their engagements. However, Molly kept on going! She and her sisters sang at The Komen Race in Houston this October 2005!

One of my patients told me, “When you get diagnosed with this, you see your life differently. You realize what is important.” One other lady, whom I never thought of as introspective or a deep thinker, responded to a comment “You don’t have to worry, you have everything!” by saying, “No, I don’t have tomorrow.” That lady was Elizabeth Taylor.

None of us has tomorrow. We only have today. This is the day we can live fully, passionately, and touch deeply those about whom we care as well as those we know only in passing. SEIZE THIS DAY, like Molly :-) “

Have a GREAT DAY! :-)
